You see, when an agency and a client get together for the first time, the agency uses innovative, creative ideas to excite the client. But that doesn't always mean a baby gets to be made. Here, young clientling. is your first lesson in what to do's and what not to do's.

WHAT TO DO'S

HAVE FUN

It is okay to be excited about eachother. Embrace it, because you are only young once. This is a new journey with an agency that gives you all the special little client tingles you dreamed and heard about from your friends.

GET TO KNOW EACHOTHER FIRST

Go for a coffee, stay out late together. Discuss your lifelong client goals and ambitions. What do you want to do when you grow up? What is your favorite color? What brands influence you the most as a young clientling?

"DTR" DETERMINE THE RELATIONSHIP

When you feel like you are moving too fast or too slow, it is always good to lay out boundaries and expectations for your significant agency other. Agencies like to feel loved by knowing they're positions with you.

COMMUNICATE OFTEN

Tell your agency how you feel, always. Never be afraid to be open and honest, discussing your truest client feelings about how the agency is treating you. You are a mature client now.

ALWAYS DREAM BIG

Look deep inside of yourself and into the future as a grown up client. Does your agency want the same things as you do? Do they love you, believe in you and support you? If so... you clientling, are ready to make babies!

WHAT NOT TO DO'S

GET TOO EXCITED

There is something called premature e-client-agency-action. This is when a client or agency gets too excited about getting a website or product online and doesn't take proper measures to plan for work with eachother.

FAIL TO KNOW YOUR AGENCY FIRST

When you are moving into the initial dating phase with your agency, you want to really get to know their skills, passions and abilities. No client wants a fake agency, and no agency wants a foolish client.

LEADING EACHOTHER ON

Know what you want from your agency and make sure they don't waste your time. When you can learn and discover quickly what you want to achieve with eachother, life and business is beatiful.

ASSUME

Never assume anything. Make sure your agency has told you everything they are planning to do for you before signing with them. If they want a couple of dates with you first to get to know you better, they are keepers.

HIDE IN YOUR TURTLE SHELL

If you want to grow big and not be a clientling, take control of your brand. Don't hide away... Instead, come out to play and spend time having some fun building yourself up. Your agency will love that!
